About the programme

This top-up programme in Nursing is designed for non-EU trained bachelor-level nurses to meet EU qualification standards and enhance their employability in Finland and Europe.

Have you completed a nursing degree outside the EU/EEA within the last five years? This top-up programme is designed for nurses, who wish to upgrade their qualifications to meet European standards. After graduating from this programme, you could find yourself working as a registered nurse in Finland or in other EU country.

The estimated duration of this TOPUP programme is 1.5-2 years (approximately 90 ECTS credits; 30 credits per semester). The language of study is English, but Finnish language will be integrated in the studies. It is important that you commit to learning Finnish language, since most clinical trainings are conducted in Finland.

The study programme will use recognition of prior learning and clinical experience. Mode of study is blended learning with combination of theoretical and practical studies, clinical training and independent study. The studies will be organized mostly as on-campus in Tampere, Finland.
