TAMK is the largest university of applied sciences in Finland outside the capital region – still only a 1.5 hour train ride away from Helsinki. Tampere as a city has for several years been held the top spot in a national attraction and retention survey conducted among potential residents. In short, it is the place to be for students as well!

TAMK has also consistently had the highest overall brand image among Finnish universities of applied sciences, having most first places in 2023 in the nine aspects of the survey, especially among under-25-year-olds. The brand image survey has been conducted annually since 2002 by an independent full-service market research company Taloustutkimus.

Our strengths as an educator are multidisciplinary education, creativity, and a strong international profile. We place special emphasis on technology, wellbeing services, business administration, and culture. TAMK’s quality system has been audited by the Finnish Education Evaluation Centre.
